Over the years I've contemplated starting a blog. Anytime a friend would suggest it I would laugh it off. The internet has always been my best source of information, no matter what I'm contemplating. Want to try a new haircut? Having friends over and need some delish appetizer ideas? Looking for a great shade of blue to paint your formal living room, (I recently chose Sherwin Williams Tradewind, btw). Queue the endless Google searches, YouTube videos and Pinterest board browsing. Let's be honest, I'm a bit of an obsessive researcher. So why shouldn't I contribute and try to help others like me, based on my experiences? Well, here I am.
I used to love writing clunky HTML to generate my own MySpace templates (eek, did I just show my age?), and writing endless "blog" posts that I'm sure nobody really read. I'm hoping this iteration will go much better. After all, I've managed to navigate my way through a few more years and have so much more to offer. I think?
I digress. I'm here to talk about life, with a focus on house updates/projects of all different types and sizes. Mostly DIY. I'm not a pro by any means, which is why I think this may be that much more relevant for so many of you. I enjoy making a house a home and leaving our mark in the design. I enjoy trendy, simple, modern, chic, contemporary, unique-- it's probably safe to say I love a little bit of everything and love to combine styles when it works. My ideas are endless, but everything takes time (not sure if the latter is meant to be informative or is a reminder to myself). So, let's get this going! Happy reading!
Note: When talking about the majority of home improvement and decorating projects and I say "I" or "me", I really mean "we"; my husband is a great sidekick when it comes to helping me execute all of my ideas and loves and takes pride in the end result as much I do.
